One hundred participants of all ages walked 25 miles from West Fleet Farm in Weymouth onto Hardy‟s monument via Upwey and back to Weymouth via Abbotsbury Swannery.
This event grossed £11,053.35 with a nett figure of £9385.63
Many thanks to Dorset Search and rescue who were brilliant back marking and supplying our first aid cover and Stella Hayward riding for the disabled who did a fantastic job marshalling.
Nina said; “We are really pleased with the outcome. It was very hot on Saturday but it was a lovely day all the same and we had some amazing views. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we raised a lot of money for charities that we support.”
Here are some quotes from our participants:
Steve
“My wife, daughter and I had a most enjoyable day on your 25 mile walk. It was the first time it was the first time we have supported your cause. It was well organised, the signage was excellent, good maps, lots of refreshment and support from many helpers. Thank you!”
Roger
“As usual your organisation of the walk was excellent. I liked the new maps even I could understand them !!
The weather also got a vote of 9 from me. No lasting injuries as a result of the trek, I’m only going to lose one toenail!!
Hope to join you again next year”
Tina
