Chairman's introduction
On the 21st January, Hangers Heroes presented cheques to their 2012 chosen charities totalling £13,000.00
Our chairman thanked everyone who supported our events both participants and local businesses. Of particular mention was :-
Riskstop of Poundbury who raised in excess of £11,000,
S.A.L.T who raised £1,660.00
Jacqui Norman who organised a garden party raising £1,400.00
Representatives from Dorset search and rescue, The Front skatepark, froends of the M.V.Freedom and Westfield Arts College were their to receive their cheques, unfortunately for health reasons Stella Hayward riding for the disabled were not represented, however they sent a message thanking us very much for our charities support.
Our main fundraisng event for 2012 was Challenge 25 mile sponsored walk and Cross country marathon. A cup was presented on the presentation evening to the indvidual who raised most sponsorship. Rob raised a total of £895.00 !
Everyone enjoyed eating Roger and Nina’s homemade apple cake and sausage rolls and chatting.
