A lovely evening was had by all at our pumpkin competition kindly hosted by Wyke Regis Horticultural Society. Although everyone had a challenging time trying to grow pumpkins resulting in a very reduced entry the heaviest pumpkin weighed in at 118.8lbs!!, this beat last years winner. Our lucky winner received a voucher of carvery for two at the Marquis of Granby. Weymouth, thank you to them for donating a lovely prize.
Supper was much enjoyed by all with homemade pumpkin/vegetable followed by homemade apple cake. Not sure of the total raised will post this as soon as we know.
We would like to thank all at the horticultural society for supporting us with this event, and all who donated raffle prizes.
